important to follow a few basic Do's and
Don'ts. If you have

Please ensure that;
The correct specification of diamond
blade has been selected for the
application.
The machine selected for the
operation is of the correct specification and has been serviced
to a standard that complies to the manufacturer's service
recommendations.
That the machine complies or exceeds
all relevant health and safety regulations.
That the area of operation is clean
and tidy and complies with any need for barriers, signs,
warning notices etc.
That the operator has been properly
trained and certified for machine
operation and health and safety
regulations.
That in the case of electrically
powered machines, the machine is of the correct voltage and
that the site supply is adequate both in terms of power supply
and compliance to site electricity supply regulations.
Always ensure that when fitting a
blade the machine is disconnected from the power source and the
correct tools are used.
For your personal safety always ensure
that you wear suitable:
Ear defenders.
Foot wear.
Eye protection.
Protection against dust.
Clothing.
Read all instructions carefully.

Diamond Blade Do's and Don'ts
DO ensure
adequate water supply to both sides of the blade.
DO ensure
that the blade cuts parallel to the wheel axis.
DO follow
the manufacturers
recommended pulley sizes and operating
speeds for specific diameters.
DO tighten
drive belts to ensure full
available power.
DO use a
drive pin if fitted to the machine.
DON'T force
the blade on to the blade shaft or mount the blade on an
undersized spindle.
DON'T use
paper washers to pack out the clamp plates.
DON'T force
the machine so that the blade rides up out of the cut.
DON'T operate
the machine with damaged or open blade guard.
Diamond Drill Do's and Don'ts
DO select
the correct equipment for the diameter of the drill. When using
a machine with a base ensure the base is securely fastened to
the surface to be drilled.
DO check
your equipment before drilling, making sure all electrical
testing has been carried out.
DO check
for any services (e.g.water, gas etc) buried in the area to be
drilled.
DO wear
appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
DO select
the correct speed.
DO ensure
adequate water supply.
DO use
our technical services when in doubt.
DON'T change
speeds while the motor is running.
DON'T operate
the equipment without proper personal protective equipment
(PPE).
DON'T force
the drill through the material.
DON'T leave
the machine unattended while running.
DON'T remove
the drill bit while the motor is connected to the power supply.
